Here’s Who Supports Lifting the Ban on Judicial Modification of Home Mortgages, part 2

Here is a list of some supporters of the concept for changing the existing law to remove the ban on judicial modification of primary home mortgages in chapter 13 bankruptcy to stem the tide of mortgage foreclosures:

Senator Dick Durbin, D-IL, who introduced S.61 Helping Families Save Their Homes in Bankruptcy Act of 2009, and Representative John Conyers Jr., D-MI, who introduced HR 200, which is identical to S.61.

Representative Brad Miller, D-NC, who introduced HR 225, which is similar to S.61 except that it limits the remedy to existing loans and restricts the remedy for defective loan documents to mortgages violating TILA and not other consumer protection laws.
