Mortgage Law Network Contributor Trains Attorneys in Wisconsin

Mortgage Law Network contributor David Leibowitz, along with Legal Aid Society of Milwaukee attorney Catey Doyle are presenting free continuing legal education seminars throughout Wisconsin from April 20 through May 4.   These free legal training seminars will be held in Milwaukee, Eau Claire, Madison and Green Bay and are sponsored by the Wisconsin Housing and Economic Development Adminsitration (WHEDA), Lakelaw, and the Legal Aid Society of Milwaukee,  with support from the Wisconsin State Bar.

The Wisconsin Bar encourages attorneys througout Wisconsin to attend this training – vitally necessary because foreclosures in Wisconsin have increased by 62% in 2008 over 2007 and continue to increase over that record level.

This full-day course will cover vital topics such as:

  • Negotiating loan modifications or other foreclosure prevention solutions
  • Using the new federal “Making Home Affordable” program to refinance
  • Taking advantage of lender-initiated programs
  • Mounting legal defenses and counterclaims
  • Understanding bankruptcy and foreclosure

If you live in Southeast Wisconsin or in the 7 Rivers Region – Lakelaw can help you.  And if you are qualified, Legal Aid Society of Milwaukee can help you in Milwaukee county.  But if you live anywhere else in Wisconsin, we need you to tell your attorney friends to take this training.  We want you to keep your home. We want to help other lawyers help you.
